To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, UNAM experts led a STEM outreach event at Amazing Kids Private School in Windhoek, sparking inspiration among young female learners. Hosted by OWSD Namibia, the programme featured insights from accomplished professionals including Prof. Theopoline Amushendje (Agricultural Science), Ms. Lavinia Haikukutu (Microbiology), and Ms. Rachel Amoomo (Civil Engineering), each linking science careers to sustainability, adaptability, and global development. UNAM alumna Carla Iradukunda added a relatable voice to the conversation, emphasizing personal growth through academic persistence. The event reinforced UNAM’s leadership in cultivating inclusive, purpose-driven STEM pathways.
