On 11 September 2024, the UNAM Alumni Association announced its commitment to continuing the national dialogue on green hydrogen following a successful public lecture co-hosted with NUST Alumni Foundation and Fortescue Namibia. Titled “Green Hydrogen – Facts and Reality: Market Trends and Opportunities,” the event featured expert insights from Namibia’s Green Hydrogen Commissioner, academic researchers, and industry leaders. Set to launch a series of nationwide lectures in 2025, beginning in Namibia’s southern region—the country’s green hydrogen hub—the initiative aims to engage alumni in strategic energy discourse, fostering education, innovation, and sustainable development.
