On 14 August 2024, the University of Namibia (UNAM) and the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) launched an educational video titled “Early Interventions on Family Violence” at UNAM’s Main Library. The initiative, involving social work academics and students from both institutions, highlights the value of multi-professional collaboration in addressing domestic violence. With support from senior leaders, including UNAM Vice Chancellor Prof. Kenneth Matengu and UEF Rector Prof. Jukka Mönkkönen, the video aims to foster public awareness and empower communities to seek timely, interdisciplinary responses to family violence. The resource serves as both a pedagogical tool and a catalyst for international engagement in social welfare and development.
