Abstract
This study attempted to find out what impact television violence has on children's behaviour in Windhoek. The main objective was to find out what impact television has on children's behaviour. Other objectives that guided this research were finding out what children experience emotionally when watching violence, whether or not they act out what they watch and whether or not they have anger problems that are relating to what they watch. The researcher used interview guides and questionnaires as data collection tools. These questionnaires were given to sixty parents and interviews conducted on ten children. The respondents of the research were purposively selected to match children of the age group seven to seventeen years as well as parents with children in this age group The study concluded that television violence indeed has a great influence on children's behaviour despite the fact that there are other factors to look at also. The study recommends
parents and guardians to monitor their children's programmes on television and closely monitor what influence and effects these programme have on the children.
