dc.description.abstract Abstract by author: en_US
dc.description.abstract All measurements of UV were made with a UV meter equipped with detectors to measure UV A (320 to 400 nanometers) and UV B (280 to 320 nanometers). The detectors were placed in the water tank under the filters and thus calibrated after each hour, when measuring the different UV's. The Gastropoda and Sea cucumbers appear capable of surviving two times this irradiance, in contrast to the Bunodactis which shows sensitivity within the first few hours of exposure time each day, and the Bunodactis which have died where those that where placed under the Plexiglass which allows everything UV A, UV B and PAR and thus showing us that the involvement of UV B is really damaging to the animals, because the other animals under the filters excluding UV B have managed to survive for a longer period. According to literature UV B is said to be very harmful the to living organisms, and thus this statement appears to be true according to this experiment en_US
