dc.description.abstract Abstract by author: en_US
dc.description.abstract The performance of the Boergoat flock of Neudamm Agricultural College has been evaluated. This was done on the basis of their weaning weights. Raw data for the year 1998 and 1999 obtained from the College management were sorted and arranged into a form, which could enable proper and convenient ways of analysis and interpretation. Various numbers of calculations have been performed regarding weaning indices and 141 day corrected weaning weights. Through the use of ANOVA it was established that there is a significant different in the overall 141 day corrected weaning weight of the kids being singles, twins and triplets. It was also found that single kids were on average heavier than twins and triplets. Their frequencies of occurrence were found to be l6. 5 percent and 18. 6 for 1999 and 1998 respectively. This was quite low as opposed to twins which encompassed 58. 2 percent and 66. 1 percent for 1999 and 1998 respectively. Similarly, the occurrence of triplets was quite low, lower than singles. It was mainly on the basis of their occurrence that one would conclude that twin kid production has more economic advantages over single and triplet kids en_US
