dc.description.abstract Results of the study show that ESL teachers encounter the most difficulties in teaching the 'writing' skill. They also perceive a lot of constraints in among others. using the ESL syllabus and ESL textbooks. Finally, they lack knowledge of the new ESL teaching approaches or theories. In other words, they still observe traditional approaches in their ESL teaching. They also encounter constraints on their ability to teach ESL beyond the formal classroom level en_US
dc.description.abstract The study encompassed all ESL Senior secondary school ESL teachers in the Khorixas Educational region. A self developed questionnaire with yes' or 'no' questions coupled with other objective items was used to collect data. The researcher visited all subjects and administered the questionnaire in person. Frequencies, tables, charts and percentages were vital in the analysis and presentation of data. These were mostly used for comparing proportions of respondents in different levels, perceptions and characters. A chi-square statistical analysis was also applied in order to observe how closely the observed distribution approximated the expected distribution of frequencies en_US
