dc.description This study presents a comparative analysis of development profiles of registered, established, emerging, and recently registered conservancies in the Caprivi region. Using indicators such as governance, natural resource management, conservancy management, financial sustainability, and benefit distribution, the analysis demonstrates that older conservancies have made significant progress in institutional and resource management capacity. In contrast, newer conservancies show rapid growth in governance and natural resource management but remain in early stages of developing financial sustainability and benefit distribution systems. The findings highlight the evolving support structures, particularly in natural resource management, that have strengthened conservancy development over time. en_US
