dc.description The University of Namibia (UNAM), in partnership with Rosatom and RUDN University, hosted the inaugural HackAtom Namibia—a 24-hour hackathon aimed at introducing students to nuclear science and fostering innovation. Held from 16–17 July 2025, the event brought together 56 students from various Namibian institutions to solve real-world energy challenges using nuclear-focused solutions. The winning team, comprising students from UNAM and NUST, developed a multiplayer collaboration platform and earned a trip to Moscow to compete globally. Organised by Dr. Maria Ndapewa Ntinda and supported by UNAM faculty, the event highlighted Namibia’s growing role in nuclear education and international collaboration. en_US
