| dc.description | Between February and May 2025, UNAM’s School of Medicine recorded a significant rise in body donation pledges for medical education from 11 to 15 donors. The increase reflects growing public awareness and support following media outreach and public dialogue. Local pledges reduce dependency on costly imports from abroad, while fostering national pride and unity. Faculty leaders, including Dr. Anneli Poolman, Prof. Judith Hall, and Dr. Felicia Christians, underscore the importance of this shift in mindset for advancing healthcare education and research in Namibia. | en_US |
