dc.description On 21 September 2024, the University of Namibia’s Main Campus came alive with tradition during the annual Oshipe Festival, a vibrant celebration of Aawambo heritage. Organised as part of fourth-year Oshiwambo Language students’ academic assessment and guided by Professor Petrus Mbenzi, the event blended educational insight with cultural practices. Attendees experienced traditional food preparation, spiritual symbolism through indigenous trees like Omusati, and performances rooted in centuries-old customs.
