dc.description On UNESCO World Book Day, April 23, 2024, fifty Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) students from UNAM’s Khomasdal Campus visited Rosewood Academy in Windhoek to promote literacy and creativity among young learners. Guided by lecturer Ms. Jacolynn van Wyk, the students introduced “story sacks”—interactive reading kits featuring storybooks, handmade props, fun facts, and group activities. Supported by a 2023 book sponsorship from the U.S. Embassy, the initiative offered a hands-on learning experience for both university students and primary learners, fostering a joyful and imaginative approach to early childhood education. en_US
