dc.description In celebration of World Oral Health Day, the University of Namibia’s School of Dentistry, in collaboration with the Dental Students Association of Namibia, led a dynamic community outreach initiative under the theme “Happy Mouth, Happy Body.” A team of 121 volunteers—including students and lecturers from the Faculty of Health Sciences & Veterinary Medicine—visited Five Rand Primary School (Okahandja), Lebensschule School (Rehoboth), and Orange Babies Orphanage (Windhoek). Through interactive demonstrations, oral health screenings, and the distribution of 750 dental care kits, the initiative promoted lifelong oral hygiene and holistic wellness. The event exemplified UNAM’s commitment to community engagement, health education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. en_US
