dc.description On 22 February 2024, the University of Namibia officially launched the academic year with a ceremony filled with optimism and renewed purpose. Key initiatives announced included the government-sponsored UNAM Readiness Programme to support prospective students, a 5% salary increment for staff, and the launch of the Vice-Chancellor’s Dialogue Forum to foster open communication. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kenneth Matengu emphasized UNAM’s enduring mandate to address national and global challenges through inclusive, quality education.
