dc.description.abstract The study will investigate the communication behaviour between parents and the teens. It will look at how the parents communicate with the teens. The objective will be to understand the communication behaviour of teenagers and the parents. The main question is, what the communication behaviour between parents and teenagers, and what can be done to improve it. The study will conduct interviews with social workers, qualitative interviews with parents and quantitative interviews with teenagers. The tools to be used will be questionnaires. The study will look at the communication theories, the behaviour theories and the family theories. The scope will look at teenagers from the early teenage stage age 12 to the late teenage stage age 20. The study will focus on 5 families from colored parent(s) and black parent(s). The research will be conducted in Windhoek only, thus all participants should assumingly be from Windhoek. Social workers from various organizations that deal with teenagers will be interviewed. The study will be important for the teenagers, parents, social workers and anybody who is internally or externally influenced with teenagers. Possible solutions on how to improve the communication behaviour will be included from the sources and from literature review that the study has selected en_US
