dc.description.abstract Abstract by author: en_US
dc.description.abstract Neudamm is a Government farm located in the Khomas Region of Namibia. Neudamm Agricultural College dairy unit keeps 23 Friesian cows, to provide milk to students and staff members. This study investigates how animal performance at the dairy unit can be improved, i. e. performance in terms of milk production. The study found out that the cows are fed dry matter above requirement, and protein content in the dry matter was below requirement. It was found that cows were producing milk below expectation. Milk production can only be increased by increasing protein content in the dry matter or by culling all the cows and buy new cows that are productive en_US
