dc.description Includes bibliographical references en_US
dc.description.abstract None provided. The following is taken from the author's Introduction: en_US
dc.description.abstract In terms of international law, the paper will look at some pieces of international law material. In particular, most importantly, Convention of Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women (1979); and Universal Declaration on Human Rights and Covenant on Civil and Political Rights en_US
dc.description.abstract The paper will further focus on some countries mentioned earlier to ascertain the respective countries' standpoint and laws regarding abortion. Some of the aforesaid countries like United States of America; South Africa; and most liberal of them all, Sweden, do have laws that make abortion legal in such countries. On the other hand, some of the countries have laws that make abortion against the law, inter alia, Portugal, and most conservative, Ireland. The paper will look at some of the countries mentioned to ascertain on what grounds did the decriminalisation of abortions come about or why was and still is it illegal in some countries en_US
dc.description.abstract The paper will then have an in-depth discussion regarding abortion and abortion laws in Namibia. The paper will focus on two main topics, which are: 1. What is the current law and practice in Namibia with regard to abortion; and 2. the constitutional status of abortion en_US
dc.description.abstract The paper wil then conclude. It is important to note from the outset that this paper does not have an initial standpoint. At the end of this paper, a conclusion will be drawn based on the content of the paper. It will also have, as part of the conclusion, some recommendations regarding the topic en_US
