dc.description UNAM and Idaho State University (ISU) expanded their advanced midwifery training partnership from May–June 2025, empowering educators and healthcare professionals across Namibia. With philanthropic support from Dr. Rebecca Kinney’s Beckon Foundation, the collaboration delivered Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) and Helping Baby Breathe (HBB) training to midwifery staff and students. A key innovation was a dedicated instructor session enabling sustainable, locally-led capacity building. The programme equips graduates with simulation tools and life-saving skills to address maternal health challenges like postpartum haemorrhage and neonatal resuscitation, advancing high-impact, resilient healthcare education in Namibia. en_US
