dc.description UNAM and Namport have signed a renewed MoU to advance marine sustainability at the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a Ramsar-designated wetland of global importance. Led by UNAM’s Sam Nujoma Campus, this three-year, N$3.7 million partnership will support biodiversity monitoring and field research to guide conservation efforts. Building on a prior collaboration (2016–2021), the initiative reinforces Namibia’s commitment to a sustainable blue economy and offers students hands-on research experience in coastal ecosystem management. en_US
