Her winning speed presentation addressed the impact of fire seasonality on tree density at the Makambu Fire Experimental Site in Kavango West—a project under the long-term fire ecology study led by Dr. Ezequiel Fabiano. With 120 presentations from 15 European and 9 African countries, Kasinda stood out for her clarity and scientific insight, earning an Echo Meter Touch 2 Bat Detector as her prize.
