dc.description During the 2nd RUFORUM Triennial Conference in August 2024, the University of Namibia (UNAM) signed strategic Memoranda of Understanding with four RUFORUM member institutions: Makerere University (Uganda), University of South Africa (UNISA), Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN), and Chinhoyi University of Technology (Zimbabwe). The MOUs focus on strengthening collaborative academia–industry research, enhancing intra-African mobility, and fostering foresight capacity in African higher education. These agreements align with the EU–AU Global Gateway strategy and support initiatives such as credit transfer systems, quality assurance mechanisms, and the development of the “Study in Africa” portal. The partnerships mark a shift toward South–South cooperation and underscore Africa-led solutions in agricultural education, innovation, and socio-economic development. en_US
