On 19 July 2024, Prof. Dr. Kenneth Matengu, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Namibia (UNAM), was re-elected as President of the Pan-African University (PAU) Council by the African Union Executive Council. His second term will run from October 2024 to October 2027. This re-election reflects his impactful leadership in advancing governance, administration, and student enrollment across PAU’s five continental institutes. As the highest governing body of PAU, the Council plays a pivotal role in shaping Africa’s higher education and research agenda.
